asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on recent developments in the chemical arms control talks in committee at the conference on disarmament in Geneva.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Rutland and Melton (Mr. Latham) on 24 April at column223. The spring session of the conference on disarmament ended on 25 April. The summer session will start on 10 June.
