asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is satisfied with the working of the Matrimonial Homes Act.

§ Mr. John MacKay
The Government are continuing to monitor the operation of the 1981 Act. Research commissioned by the Scottish Home and Health Department into the working of the Act has almost been completed and we shall be studying the findings of this research with a view to deciding whether further guidance or action on the part of Government is desirable.
