asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the general Government financial balance as a percentage of gross domestic product/gross national product in (a) the United Kingdom, (b)the United States of America, (c) Japan, (d) Germany, (e) France and (f) Italy in 1984 and in 1985.
