§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) whether he will publish in the Official Report the estimated cost at current rates of tax and earnings of the wife's earned income allowance together with a table showing the number of allowances falling within each range of total joint income and the total amount of the allowance in each range;
(2) whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing (a) the estimated number of wives claiming earned income allowance in each range of joint total income and the cost to the Exchequer in the current financial year and (b) the number of wives with earned income on Inland Revenue records in each range of wife's total income.
