§ Mr. Scott[pursuant to his reply, 23 July 1986]: The Police Authority for Northern Ireland is responsible for the purchase of land or property on behalf of the Royal Ulster Constabulary. I understand that the authority has not purchased land in the Magilligan area of County Londonderry over the last 18 months. With regard to the British Army or other defence forces I refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply given to a question by him from my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence on 23 July.
