HC Deb 25 July 1986 vol 102 c660W
Mr. Hume

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what lands in the Magilligan area of County Derry have been bought over the past 18 months by or on behalf of the British Army or other defence or security forces; and for what purposes.

Mr. Scott

[pursuant to his reply, 23 July 1986]: The Police Authority for Northern Ireland is responsible for the purchase of land or property on behalf of the Royal Ulster Constabulary. I understand that the authority has not purchased land in the Magilligan area of County Londonderry over the last 18 months. With regard to the British Army or other defence forces I refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply given to a question by him from my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence on 23 July.
