Mr. Rippon

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the estimated cost in the current financial year of aid to be given to the following Commonwealth countries: Antigua, the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Brunei, Cyprus, Dominica, the Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, the Virgin Islands, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Mr. Eggar

An estimate of the cost of financial aid to particular countries arising from agreements signed up to April 1986 is in Table 3 of the Overseas Aid Vote (Supply Estimates 1986–87 Class II, 5), copies of which are available in the House of Commons Library. Further allocations may be made during the year. Countries may also benefit from regional technical co-operation.
