HC Deb 25 July 1986 vol 102 c508W
Mr. John

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, pursuant to his answer of 22 July, what were the numbers of cattle purchased at Kirkby Lonsdale; at what cost; and what was the cost of the work undertaken to try to establish the cause of the cornebacterium pyogenes mastitis problem.

Mrs. Fenner

It is not the Ministry's practice to divulge details of individual transactions, which are a matter of commercial confidence. The cost of the work undertaken by the Ministry to try to establish the cause of the disease problems has been £62,000.
