HC Deb 25 July 1986 vol 102 c507W
Mr. Aspinwall

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what further policy he has in the area of marketing of British agricultural produce following enactment of the Agricultural Marketing Act 1983.

Mr. Gummer

The Government are providing some £14 million of pump priming funds to FFB in the five years up to 1987–88 and up to £7.5 million during the following three years if funding by the industry is satisfactory. The Council of Food From Britain will be restructured shortly and I expect one of its first priorities to be the setting of new marketing objectives and strategies.
