§ 36. Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will consider introducing legislation to provide for special arrangements so that visitors can sample English wine when visiting the commercial vineyards in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. MellorVineyards holding a liquor licence may sell samples of wine during the permitted hours. We have no plans to introduce legislation to extend the permitted hours for vineyards specifically, but the Government support the case for relaxation in permitted hours generally, which would benefit vineyards. I cannot say when the necessary legislation might be introduced.
