HC Deb 14 July 1986 vol 101 cc371-2W
Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the recent visit to the United Kingdom by members of the Hong Kong district board.

Mr. Renton

Twelve members of the Wong Tai Sin district board paid a sponsored visit to Britain between 15 and 22 June as guests of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The visit was one of a continuing series of such visits made by various district boards in Hong Kong.

During their visit the group had talks with officials in London and Yorkshire concerned with inner-city problems, with particular emphasis on education, housing and health care. Their programme also included tours of urban renewal and housing development schemes.
