HC Deb 20 February 1986 vol 92 c265W
Mr. Frank Field

asked the Prime Minister if she will state the number of letters her office has received on the question of Sunday trading; and if this total can be broken down into those who are for or against the proposed reform.

The Prime Minister

The Government have received about 100 representations in favour of our proposals and about 34,000 against since the debate on the Auld report in the House of Commons in May last year.
