§ Mr. John Patten[pursuant to his reply, 3 February 1986, c. 24]: Outturn figures for 1985–86 are not yet available. The table sets out initial allocations for 1985–86 and initial allocations for 1986–87. The former are increased by the GDP deflator of 4½ per cent. to give a comparable cost basis. In the course of 1985–86 initial allocations have been supplemented by £8.25 million which became available for redistribution within the urban block.
Outturn figures often differ from allocations. Local authorities receive additional allocations to support approved urban development grant schemes.
