asked the Secretary of State for Transport what consideration he has given to the letter he has received from the chairman of British Rail, the chairman of Manchester Airport plc and the chairman of the Greater Manchester passenger transport authority regarding a possible rail link to Manchester airport; what action he intends to take; and if he will agree to the meeting proposed in the letter.
