§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the increase in the expenditure proposed for agriculture under the European Economic Community budget for 1986 and the distribution of the increase within and between the main sections of the agricultural budget.
§ Mr. JoplingThe Commission has not formally proposed a supplementary budget for 1986. When presenting its proposals on agricultural prices, however, it suggested that an extra 790 mecu would be required in 1986. This estimate was based on the Commission's latest assessment of market developments and assumed that their price proposals would be adopted. The breakdown of the estimate by agricultural commodity is given in Volume II of the proposals which have been deposited in the Library of the House (document 4936/86).
