HC Deb 25 March 1985 vol 76 cc75-6W
Mr. Corbyn

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to the answer to the hon. Member for Islington, North, on 8 February, Official Report, column 750, if he has yet received a statement from the Greek Government on the death of Peter Nadin; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Renton

Her Majesty's embassy in Athens has drawn the attention of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Mr. Nadin's death, and asked for that Ministry's co-operation and that of the appropriate Greek authorities in reviewing the investigations so far made, and to consider what scope there may be for further inquiries into the circumstances of Mr. Nadin's death.

I shall write to the hon. Member, and inform Mr. Nadin's next of kin, when the Greek reply is received.
