HC Deb 25 March 1985 vol 76 c3W
Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, pursuant to his reply of 14 March, what is his estimate of the extent to which the £20 million per day spent by the European Economic Community on the storage and dumping of surplus foodstuffs in 1984 will be exceeded or reduced in 1985; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. MacGregor

As the 1985 Community budget has not yet been adopted, it is not possible to give a firm estimate of expenditure this year on commodities in structural surplus.
