Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) whether Interaction or any of its subsidiaries is receiving either capital or revenue funding from the London Docklands Development Corporation; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what steps the London Docklands Development Corporation has taken to ensure that the design of houses on London Docklands Development-owned land contains provisions for the disabled;

(3) what percentage of houses on London Docklands Development Corporation-owned land (a) represent transfers to households who were previously on other London Docklands Development Corporation-owned sites and (b) are owned by the second or subsequent purchasers of the house;

(4) what steps the London Docklands Development Corporation intends to take to ensure that the composition of private housing estates on London Docklands Development Corporation-owned land reflects the multicultural nature of London;

(5) what training programmes are used within the London Docklands Development Corporation to create awareness of racism and sexism;

(6) whether the London Docklands Development Corporation requires clauses in its contracts of employment to specify that racial and sexual harassment at work is a disciplinary issue;

(7) what arrangements exist for advertising posts in the London Docklands Development Corporation; and which newspapers, including black and ethnic minority newspapers, are used to place advertisements;

(8) how many advisers the London Docklands Development Corporation employs with a specific knowledge of relevant employment and equal opportunity legislation;

(9) how many people with disabilities are employed by the London Docklands Development Corporation; and at what grades;

(10) how many women are employed by the London Docklands Development Corporation; and at what grades.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether there is provision for both maternity and paternity leave within the London Docklands Development Corporation.

It is the corporation's policy to provide maternity leave. Paternity leave is not generally available, but is considered under the broader definition of compassionate leave.
