§ Mr. David Mitchell
The Transport and Road Research Laboratory has been engaged on two research projects, the first concerned with the use of on-board equipment to process concessionary fares and the second with the general question of methods of reimbursement for concessionary fare schemes. The first project contains confidential information of a commercial nature which it would not be appropriate to publish, but it is my intention to make a report on the second project available to the House when the work has been finalised.
The report by Steer, Davies and Gleave on competitive tendering also contains information provided in confidence and is unsuitable for publication. I am arranging for a summary of its conclusions to be placed in the Library.
