43. Mr. Norman Atkinson

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will recommend local authorities and owners of private blocks of flats to install new vandal-proof high luminosity lighting on all balconies and passageways as crime prevention measures.

59. Mr. Galley

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department to what extent his Department's crime prevention unit commends good street lighting to local authorities as a deterrent agaist crime, and in particular theft and street violence.

64. Miss Boothroyd

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recommendations have been made by the crime prevention unit to local authorities regarding the use of vandal-proof lighting.
