§ Mr. Tom Coxasked the Lord Privy Seal (1) when the improvement will take place on the ventilation system in the Members' Tea Room;
(2) what plans he has to improve the general working conditions for staff in the Members' Tea Room.
§ Mr. BiffenA refurbishment of the Members' Tea Room, which would include cooling of the counter area and other improvements in working conditions for the staff there, has been requested. The funds available for the parliamentary works programme of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment are limited, and I cannot at the moment say when this scheme will gain a place in the programme.
