HC Deb 25 February 1985 vol 74 c1W
Mr. Clay

asked the hon. Member for Berwick upon Tweed as representing the House of Commons Commission what was the estimated cost of the travelling expenses, staff hours, printing and other services provided for the Transport Committee for its investigation of the financing of public transport up to and including 20 February.

Mr. Beith

The estimated costs of Committee travel in connection with this inquiry are £2,200; of printing £30,900; and of specialist advice £2,300. It is not possible without undue expense to estimate the staff hours devoted to this inquiry, which is only one of several that the Committee has been pursuing for the past year, nor the costs of other services.
