Whether they will provide grants for the purchase of second-hand furniture to claimants moving from board and lodging accommodation into unfurnished premises, and if not why not.
§ Baroness TrumpingtonClaimants who have recently become owners or tenants of unfurnished or partly furnished premises, including those who have moved from board and lodging accommodation, are eligible for a single payment for furniture and household items provided they satisfy the conditions of Regulations 9 and 10 of the Supplementary Benefit (Single Payments) Regulations 1981.
