Mr. McCrindle

asked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) if he will seek to limit the freedom of airlines to advertise new fares subject to Government approval; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if he will seek powers to waive the extra charges required as a result of his refusal to agree reduced transatlantic fares;

(3) if he has had discussions with airlines to agree methods of collecting surcharges on tickets following his refusal to agree to reduced fares; and if he will make a statement.
