HL Deb 30 October 1984 vol 456 c509WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the cost to them of collecting and providing the information in cols. 669 and 670, House of Commons Hansard, 6th April 1984.

Lord Lucas of Chilworth

Information on injuries caused by fireworks is gathered by my department's Consumer Safety Unit annually as part of its overall activities in consumer safety research and is carried out in co-ordination with the Department of Health and Social Security, district health authorities and local hospitals. The costs which can be specifically attributed to this exercise are not readily identifiable.
