HC Deb 26 October 1984 vol 65 c737W
Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what recent advice he has had from the European Economic Community about alterations in the volume of food and wine exports to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Comecon bloc.

Mr. Jopling

I have had no recent advice from the Commission about the total volume of food and wine exports to the Soviet Union and other Comecon countries, but I have expressed my concern about the Commission's recent decision to introduce special arrangements for the export of butter at preferential prices which could involve sales to the Soviet Union as well as other destinations.
