§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will list in the Official Report the number of persons by classification and areas involved who have been injured during the miners' strike resulting in hospital treatment and the cost to the National Health Service for medical and inpatient treatment;
(2) how many persons carrying out picketing at British coalfields have been required to receive inpatient or outpatient treatment at National Health Service hospitals; how many were identified as previously working miners; how many had no connection with the mining industry; and what was the cost of the treatment of these persons to public funds.
