§ Sir Patrick Wallasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether the smaller landing craft lost during the Falklands operations have now been replaced.
§ Mr. LeeOne landing craft utility was lost by enemy action during the Falklands campaign. Financial provision has been made for the purchase of a replacement craft which incorporates a number of design improvements over the original, together with two further identical craft for the newly formed 539 Royal Marine assault squadron. It is planned to order these vessels in the first quarter of 1985.
