HC Deb 30 November 1984 vol 68 c619W
Mr. Michael McNair-Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if staffing levels in schools reflect the need for teachers to have skills in such subjects as computer and micro-technology.

Mr. Dunn

Teachers acquire skills in these subjects through in-service training, as well as by their own efforts. School staffing levels reflect the need for teachers to have time for such training. Under the micro-electronics in education programme 55,000 teachers have so far received various forms of training in the new technology.
