§ Sir Keith JosephThe following schools and colleges in Shropshire have been the subject of formal inspections by Her Majesty's Inspectors since 1 January 1982:
- Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic College, Telford—November 1982.
- William Reynolds County Junior School, Telford—November 1982.
- Madeley Court Comprehensive School, Telford—November 1982.
- Oswestry College—January 1983.
- Oxon Church of England Primary School, Shrewsbury—February 1983.
- Acton Reynald School, Shrewsbury (Independent)—March 1983.
- Corbet Comprehensive School, Baschurch—October 1983.
Additionally, since 1 January 1982 there have been more than 180 less formal visits by HMI to schools in the county.
