Mr. Loyden

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will publish the figures of overcrowded households region by region in England;

(2) if he will publish in the Official Report, the number of households overcrowded in the cities of Liverpool and London, respectively.

The latest information is from the 1981 census which enumerated the following numbers of households living at densities of more than one person per room:

There were 10,061 in the city of Liverpool and 59 in the city of London.
