§ Mr. StanleyNATO's strategy of flexible response and forward defence remains valid and no change to it, is in prospect. We would expect Ministers at their December meeting to take stock on a range of defence planning business concerned with the effective implementation of that strategy in the light of the developing Warsaw pact threat.
