Whether, in view of the changes which have been made in the Health and Social Security Act 1984 permitting the supply of spectacles by unregistered persons, they will consider the desirability of amplifying the provisions of Section 31 of the Highway Code to ensure the use by drivers, when necessary, of spectacles fully capable of the accurate correction of defective vision.
§ Lord Brabazon of TaraWe have no plans to do so. In our judgment the existing advice remains adequate.
