§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish working paper C, commissioned by his Department from the Policy Studies Institute and presented to his Department in July.
§ Mr. NewtonWorking paper C is one of a number of papers produced by the Policy Studies Institute, which we commissioned to research into the effects of the 1980 changes to the supplementary benefit scheme. It was given to the Department, in draft, later than the other papers, and we have a number of comments on the draft which are still being considered by the institute.
