§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe annual accounts for the Welsh water authority, showing income, expenditure, profit or loss, are incorporated in the authority's annual report, a copy of which has been placed in the Library each year since the first report in 1975. My Department has not provided a subsidy to the Welsh water authority.
Welsh local authorities provide an element of support to the National Bus Company. However overall responsibility for the National Bus Company rests with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport.
