HC Deb 24 May 1984 vol 60 cc468-9W
Mr. Dobson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the total rateable value for each rating authority in England and Wales for private medical facilities, exclusive of surgeries, on 1 April 1983.

Mr. Waldegrave

In England and Wales the total rateable value of hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other similar medical facilities, excluding surgeries, other than such accommodation occupied or provided by the National Health Service, was £9,769,000 as at 1 April 1983. This includes clinics and other similar accommodation occupied by local, other than regional, health authorities. I have today placed in the Library similar information relating to each rating authority in England and Wales.
