HC Deb 24 May 1984 vol 60 c468W
Mr. Gregory

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what the current standing charges are in respect of water for all types of users in each water authority in England; and if he knows of any plans to increase these.

Mr. Waldegrave

The attached table gives details of standing charges for water supply to unmeasured and measured consumers for 1984–85.

Tariffs are reviewed by authorities when they formulate their annual budget proposals.

Mr. Allan Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment why there are three representatives of landlords' organisations on the committee of inquiry on privately owned blocks of flats.

Mr. Gow

The members of the committee have been selected for the contribution that they will be able to make to its work in the light of their experience and knowledge.
