Member for Birkenhead of 14 May, what information he has on the number in each month since November 1983 who have transferred from invalidity benefit on to the long-term supplementary benefit rate.
§ Dr. BoysonPeople in receipt of invalidity benefit who subsequently qualify for supplementary benefit at the long-term rate will continue to receive invalidity benefit. I regret that no information is available about the number of invalidity benefit recipients who have become entitled to supplementary benefit at the long term scale rate each month since November 1982 because statistics are not kept in that form.
