HC Deb 08 May 1984 vol 59 c301W
Mr. Proctor

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will set out in the Official Report details of the nature and cost of his Department's programme of technical co-operation to the Republic of Guyana.

Mr. Raison

This year we will be financing 16 United Kingdom scholarships for Guyanese students in addition to the 15 already here; continuing to finance the services of two British advisers (a veterinary officer and a senior geologist) and providing financial allocations for the continuation of a books presentation programme and the heads of mission gift scheme. The estimated cost of these services is £225,000.
