In addition, direct expenditure by my Department and the Department of Transport for the past five years on statutory and classified press advertisements was as follows:

They do not include the cost of a limited amount of statutory advertising in the London Gazette.
At this stage it is not possible to give precise figures for the expenditure by my Department on statutory and classified press advertisements for 1984–85 but it is likely to be of the order of £175,000.
