HC Deb 26 March 1984 vol 57 cc76-7W
Mr. Fisher

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many construction workers are employed in building the bunker at Nap Hill near Wycombe.

Sir George Young

The number of construction workers — that is, excluding managerial and administrative staff—will vary but currently about 270 are employed.

Mr. Fisher

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many of the construction workers building the bunker at Nap Hill near Wycombe have been required to sign the Official Secrets Act.

Sir George Young

None, but the general conditions of Government contracts for building and civil engineering works require all persons employed by contractors to be aware that the statutory provisions of the Acts apply to them.
