asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether a date has been fixed for the extension of the tenants exchange scheme to Scotland.

Mr. Younger

It is the intention that the tenants exchange scheme should be extended to Scotland from 1 June 1984. The scheme will make a significant contribution to improving mobility amongst public sector tenants in Scotland and will be of considerable help to the many tenants who have a need to move for family or personal reasons.
