HC Deb 21 March 1984 vol 56 c458W
46. Mr. John Carlisle

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, when he next has discussions with the Government of the Republic of South Africa, he will discuss recent developments in Mozambique.

Mr. Rifkind

We shall continue to make clear to both Governments our support for the efforts they are making to lessen tensions and build up co-operation between their two countries. The Nkomati accord is an important achievement and both Governments are to be congratulated on the statesmanship they have shown.
