HC Deb 20 March 1984 vol 56 c407W
53. Mr. Leighton

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people are using (a) the part-time job release scheme and (b) the job-splitting scheme; how much has been spent on publicising these schemes; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Alan Clark

At 7 March 1984, 37 people were receiving the part-time job release scheme allowance. By the end of February 1984, 801 jobs had been split under the job splitting scheme, providing 1,602 part-time job opportunities.

The total cost of publicising both schemes is some £630,000.
