Mr. Nellist

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if, pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Banbury (Mr. Baldry) of 9 March, Official Report, column 733, he will give an assurance that the Manpower Services Commission will make arrangements for the distribution of the extra £100 block grant paid to managing agents of mode A youth training scheme schemes in time for a revised rate to be paid to new entrants to the scheme in September.

Mr. Peter Morrison

I have asked the Manpower Services Commission to make recommendations to the Government in the summer about the distribution of the new block grant. The Government aim to take decisions, in the light of those recommendations, before 1 September 1984.
