Mr. William Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many (a) fat lambs, (b) hoggets and (c) breeding sheep were exported from Northern Ireland to Great Britain in the years, or if more convenient financial years, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982, respectively; and if he will estimate the value of each category in each year.

The numbers and value of fat lambs, store sheep and breeding sheep shipped from Northern Ireland to Great Britain in the years 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 are as follows:

Report showing how many (a) fat lambs, (b) breeding sheep and (c) hoggets were exported from Northern Ireland to the Irish Republic in the years 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982, respectively, or financial years if more convenient.

The numbers of fat lambs and breeding sheep exported from Northern Ireland to the Irish Republic in the years 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 are estimated by the Department of Agriculture as follows:
