Mr. J. Enoch Powellasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will lay, simultaneously with the Home Secretary, an order increasing maximum summary fines correspondingly.
§ Mr. PriorI intend to lay a draft Order-in-Council before the House this month establishing for Northern Ireland a new fines structure including a power to increase fines in future by subordinate instrument. Once the order is in operation, I will with minimum delay introduce fine increases similar to those that the Home Secretary has announced.
