§ Mr. Ian StewartThe cost of the European Parliament in 1984 is estimated at 239 million ecu. The basic salaries of Members of the European Parliament are paid by their national Governments. The estimated cost of United Kingdom MEPs salaries in 1984 is £1.4 million.
