Mr. William Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) what has been the average number of Royal Ulster Constabulary overtime hours worked by each member of the force in each month in 1983; what are the targets set for each month in 1984; and if he will publish the figures for the Royal Ulster Constabulary and for the Women's Royal Ulster Constabulary Reserve;

(2) which Royal Ulster Constabulary division had the highest average overtime per member of the force in the months of October, November and January in 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983; and what was the average in those months in the division concerned and for the force as a whole;

(3) What proportion of police overtime was at each of the differing rates of pay for Royal Ulster Constabulary overtime in each of the last six months.
