HC Deb 04 June 1984 vol 61 c30W
Mr. Nicholas Baker

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has any plans to increase the first £4 disregarded of any income from pensions of an individual when their entitlements to rent and rate rebates a re calculated.

DR. Boyson

National Insurance pensions and occupational pensions are taken fully into account when assessing entitlement to housing benefit. We have no plans to increase the disregards which apply to certain other forms of income; such as the £4 disregard of war disablement pensions and industrial disablement pensions.
