HL Deb 23 July 1984 vol 455 c153WA
Baroness Jeger

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What action they are taking to implement decisions of the EC and United Nations banning trade with the secessionist Turkish Cypriot state; and what is the present volume of trade between the United Kingdom and Turkish Cyprus.

The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Lord Belstead)

Neither the EC nor the United Nations has banned trade with northern Cyprus.

There are no figures on trade with particular regions of Cyprus.
